Dec 12, 2016 Unlike Doom 64 EX or Doom 64 Absolution the goal of this project is not to make a 1:1 port of Doom 64 for PC, but to enhance it in every possible way, bringing the satisfying gore and gunplay of Brutal Doom, new sounds and special effects that greatly enhances the oppressive atmosphere of D64, and attempting to include all the content cut from. Before gamers look at this title and pawn it off as another Doom remake, they should read through this article and take a look at the screen shots. Doom 64 isn't the same Doom that came to the PC so long ago-well at least not in sound, graphics or level design.

Game Review
Doom is the legendary first-person shooter created by Id Software and released for DOS in 1993. It was Id Software’s follow-up to their genre-defining Wolfenstein 3D. This was the first game to popularize multiplayer for this genre.
The Union Aerospace Corporation has been experimenting with teleportation on the moons of mars, when something goes wrong. Play from the perspective of a space marine sent to clean up the corporation’s mess. You watch as your friends are quickly slaughtered and you wonder how they made it out of boot camp. That aside, you soon find that the UAC has managed to open up a portal to hell and you’re about to need a lot of bullets. Don’t worry, as there is a large arsenal to choose from. With more advanced engine technology than Wolfenstein 3D, Doom’s levels are more varied and complex. The engine can simulate different heights and lighting conditions (hope you’re not afraid of the dark). With a myriad of booby traps set in indoor and outdoor environments, you better watch your step. Press switches and find key cards to advance through the episodes, all while fighting off the spawn of hell. Good luck.
Doom was voted one of the Ten Most Influential PC Games and stands as the milestone for the change from 2D graphics to 3D. Since its release, the licensing for 3D engines has become an important business branch of the PC industry. Winning more than 17 gaming awards, it has truly earned its spot on the Best Games of All Time list (7 times, in fact). It is also featured in the book 1001 Video Games You Must Play Before You Die. I still personally own and play this one to this day. Trust me when I say you will love this game.

Game Description & Reviews:
Doom - the game series that redefined the FPS era, is now back to amaze the N64 players. But, the best part of this game was that instead of being a port of the PC classic, this was totally different game, with very eerie music and fantastic graphics. The opening movie clip is amazing and very innovative way to introduce the game.
The game has really polished graphics, and the sound is a huge improvement too. Gameplay has been tuned to be a little different, but it retains the action nevertheless. The game is definitely more spooky than its predecessor, because the action and fear has been rebalanced to make the game more exciting.
Are you veteran doom players looking for a new, fresh challenge? Then, you might wanna take a bite of this game!
MasterV rates this game: 2/5Ahhh..Doom 64. Doom has always been a favourite series and this version looked to be the best one yet. Alas, it was not to be. Here's why:
Doom had always been an action game with lots of enemies, blood-pumping music and challenging gameplay sprinkled with a bit of exploration. This is the exact opposite, and it's the road id would further pursue for Doom 3 a few years later.
This means that, even though the graphics (from the sprites to the environments) were HUGE improvements over the prievious ones, the game is more about exploration and looking around the game's maze-like maps, instead of action. The music is also more on the moody/creepy side. This was a huge turn off for a Doom veteran.
Nevertheless, you could give it a shot. You might even like it.
